Studio Emilie is established in 2023 and is led by Emilie Tuuminen, an MA graduate from Contemporary Design at Aalto University. Studio Emilie is located in Helsinki and crafts small series from glass to paper and many others in between, recent focus being on ceramics and woodwork.
When not hands dirty with clay, Emilie is probably exploring the nooks and crannies of some kind somewhere with her ever loyal companion Lupa.

I see myself as a formgiver valuing handcrafted imperfection over industrial precision. My approach to my work is intuitive and instinctual, welcoming the imperfections that unfold during creative processes and turning them into unique features of the pieces. In my creations I embrace the charm of individuality, drawing inspiration from the quirks and nuances that make each piece one-of-a-kind.
With pottery and woodworking as my primary focus at the moment, I transform materials into both artistic expressions and functional everyday utilities, celebrating their natural qualities.
